If I Stay by Gayle Forman

If I Stay is a gripping novel about choices. Mia and her family are on their way to her grandparents. When Mia wakes up she in lying on the side of the road. Mia thinks she is fine until she sees her body. Nothing is fine.

Mia is in a place between life and death, comatose. She can see people, they can't see her. She can hear them, they can't hear her. Her body lying, lifeless in a hospital bed.

Mia does think she can live without her family. But she can't see herself leaving without her boyfriend.

I give If I Stay four stars. Great book about life, death, choice, but mostly love.
